Het is bedoeld als steun voor elke ouder\/verzorger die te maken heeft met dwaalsporen in de gezondheidszorg. Wat ik iedereen hierin wil meegeven is: \u201cVolg je gevoel, want dat laat je niet in de steek, n\u00f3\u00f3it!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2000 is onze derde zoon, Luca, geboren. Vanaf het eerste moment dat ik hem in mijn armen hield, voelde ik: \u201cjij bent anders\u2026\u201d Het heeft echter vijftien jaar geduurd, voordat puzzelstukjes op hun plaats gingen vallen. Het werd een ontdekkingsreis voor zowel Luca als ons, waarbij epilepsie en autisme de rode draad vormen.<\/p>\n<p>Ondanks het etiketje dat onze zoon in eerste instantie kreeg, \u2018absence-epilepsie\u2019, waren wij als ouders ervan overtuigd dat er meer speelde. Tijdens deze zoektocht gingen wij door diepe dalen van radeloosheid, onwetendheid en teleurstelling, maar dit heeft ons niet ontmoedigd.
